Dr. Nancy Chau
Her Chinese name, “Wai,” means “wisdom,” appropriate due to her “wisdom of holistic medicine.” Born and raised in Hong Kong where East meets West, Dr. Nancy has been deeply immersed in the rich environment of Chinese medicine. As a Former Registered Nurse in both United States and Hong Kong, she has studied diseases caused by the disconnection between health and lifestyle, and she is passionate about using the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine to help her patients work with nature to achieve balance, health, and beauty in every season of their lives, guided by results of blood works.
Chinese medicine is one of the oldest professional and continuously practiced health systems in the world, dating back 5,000 years. This holistic approach considers the “whole” person, including body, mind, diet, environment, emotions, lifestyle and exercise. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Chinese medicine’s emphasis is on prevention, treating not only the disease, but also its underlying causes, and harmonizing imbalances in the body.
