Expert Acupuncture Longwood, FL

*COVID-19 updates: As of this time, we are only taking essential cases.  Non-essential cases will be postponed.  Our patients are of highest priority and we are following CDC guidelines to ensure the clinic is a safe place.  We have increased our disinfection only using hospital grade products multiple times a day and between patients in those high contact areas and devices.  We are also limiting the number of patients per day to practice social distancing and to reduce chances of virus transmission.  We also screen patients for symptoms and may ask a patient to stay home if needed.  All patients and family will have their temperature checked and asked to wash hands with soap and water.  We are educating our patients on standard precautions and good hand hygiene with proper hand washing technique.

Scientific Approach to Acupuncture

NeuroPuncture | Wai Acupuncture special technique

What is Neuropuncture (NeuroScience Acupuncture)?

Not to be confused with Electro-Acupuncture, NeuroPuncture is a special and advanced system of acupuncture that combines Neuroscience, other Western medical sciences, and current evidence-based acupuncture clinical research with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture model.

5000+ years ago when TCM was being developed, the physicians back then did not have the understanding of modern medicine especially the knowledge of Neuroscience that we have acquired from the past 75 years.  When these new scientific models are applied to classical TCM acupuncture theory, a lot of the mystery clears up, revealing an absolutely amazing Neuro-medical treatment modality - NeuroPuncture.

These concepts create an extremely effective approach to modulate the nervous system.  We can therefore intentionally target specific receptors for the release of particular Neuropeptides, reset dysfunctional visceral autonomic reflexes for improved organ function, and depolarize excited, overstimulated nerve roots for pain management.  It is also highly effective in treating other nervous system related issues such as anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia.  Due to its broad applications, it can also be used to improve certain conditions such as infertility or cognitive function improvement.

Integrative Approach

My goal is to help you holistically achieve optimum health and wellness without unnecessary prescription. Integrative medicine is the concept that combines the principles and practices of Traditional Eastern Medicine and Modern Western Medicine.  While we highly value the effectiveness from Eastern medicine, there are also numerous modern medicinal practices we can incorporate to validate and to guide the treatment.  I offer blood work testing with Functional Medicine Analysis to guide the healing progress.  (e.g. Checking on female blood hormones gives out progress on holistic treatment on women's health.)  In the case of pain-related problems, the Cold laser, Ultrasound or Infrared therapy can be used in conjunction with acupuncture to further enhance the healing effect.
