Neuroma

Neuroma is a painful condition, sometimes being referred as a “pinched nerve” or “nerve tumor”. It is usually a benign growth of nerve tissue commonly found between the third and fourth toes. You may feel pain, a burning sensation, tingling, or numbness between the toes and in the ball of the foot. Sometimes, you may feel like standing on a pebble in your shoe. Wearing high heeled shoes is believed to be one of the causes of Neuroma. If switching to wider low heeled shoes to no improvement, conventional Western medicine may suggest steroid injections or surgery.
