Neuroma

Neuroma | WAI Acupuncture | Longwood FL

Neuroma is a painful condition, sometimes being referred as a “pinched nerve” or “nerve tumor”. It is usually a benign growth of nerve tissue commonly found between the third and fourth toes. You may feel pain, a burning sensation, tingling, or numbness between the toes and in the ball of the foot. Sometimes, you may feel like standing on a pebble in your shoe. Wearing high heeled shoes is believed to be one of the causes of Neuroma. If switching to wider low heeled shoes to no improvement, conventional Western medicine may suggest steroid injections or surgery.

Is there any alternative treatments to steroid shots or surgery ? The answer is “Yes” !

Here in WAI Acupuncture (Longwood FL), we have successfully treated Neuroma cases with our non-invasive Frequency Specific Microcurrent system. The energy delivered by the frequencies act on the nerve and surrounding tissues to provide relief. Some of our patients report over 90% improvement after five to six treatments.
