Acupuncture and FSM help PTSD

PTSD is a mental health disorder that a person may develop after experiencing a traumatic event. Symptoms include negative thoughts and feelings. PTSD is a serious and growing problem among US military personnel and Veterans.

The traditional treatments for PTSD are anti-depressive drugs. They belong to the pharmacological group called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). These medications are reported as having many side effects such as tremor, nausea and decreased libido.

Unlike other conventional psychiatric treatments, acupuncture with Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) treatment for PTSD is safer and without side effects.

For those who are suffering from PTSD, the normal neuro-pathway is believed to be dysfunctional. Acupuncture with FSM treatment has the potential to re-establish this natural system back to homeostasis, as well as to regulate imbalances in people’s neurotransmitter production.

Acupuncture is administered by stimulating specific points in the body. These points of the body are responsible for controlling specific brain areas that help control nervous system functioning and mitigate stress levels.  Frequency Specific Microcurrent is believed to help regulate neuro-pathway by changing the cell signals.

Acupuncture treats Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) effectively. It is proven by randomized controlled study of US military service personal. Richard Niemtzow, an Air Force physician, advocates the usefulness of acupuncture in the treatment of PTSD at Andrews Air Force Base. Also, Dr Ronald White at the Navy acupuncture training program mentioned the benefits of acupuncture, “There’s no risk; it gives you benefits.”
