Three sources of Energy
There are three sources of energy. Eating the right foods is our body’s first priority. The highest quality of foods are chemical free, plant-based and organic. That means lots of vegetables (9 cups average each day), some fruits and unprocessed grains; nuts and seeds. The grain-fed meats have been found rich in Omega-6. Omega-6 have an inflammatory and energy-draining effect on the human bodies. Therefore, we need to choose grass-fed meat.
Avoid consuming high-sugar meals because sugar is highly inflammatory. It is the culprit of raising bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Avoid trans-fats, instead polyunsaturated fats found in olive oil, almonds and walnut; these are healthy fats that helps create energy and give our cells the essential building blocks to generate energy. The second source of energy comes from bodily movement (exercises). Movement creates energy. It gets our spines moving and it gets the lymphatic system flowing through the bodies, which eliminates wastes and toxins. Lymphatic system is like the gutter of our bodies. It collects all the toxins; if we allow sedentary lifestyles, the toxins keep stuffed in our systems. We will feel bloated, muggy head and energy deprived. The pump for the lymphatic system is not our hearts, it is our muscles.
The last, but not least, the third source of energy is coming from the right thoughts. Being positive, enthusiastic makes us feel better. If we are surrounded by positive people with positive encouraging words, we have more energy and better mental clarity. If we are surrounded by people with negative thoughts, it drains our energy. Toxic mindsets are able to cripple us emotionally and spiritually. Energy makes us possible to accomplish our dreams and goals, such as to contribute more, grow more, serve more and love more. This enables us to be better parent and spouse, or better teacher or whatever we think we want to be. It all requires energy.
